Attending an Event

Where can I find timings for the event I’m attending?

Timings are generally only confirmed 2-3 days before the event and will be posted on the event page as soon as they’re confirmed. Use the search function at the top of the page (magnifying glass icon) to find the page for your event and keep checking there until timings are confirmed.

What forms of ID do you accept?

As standard we accept passport and driving license. All ID presented must be an original, valid document.

What age restrictions apply at events?

It is the recommendation of the venue that children under fourteen should not attend in the standing area at any event, unless accompanied by an adult. All patrons over five years old are welcome to attend in the seated section, unless otherwise stated by the event organiser. It is the venue’s recommendation that children under five should not attend concerts or events, other than those specifically aimed at younger visitors, i.e. children’s shows. Unless otherwise stated by the event organiser, the standard venue age advisory will apply.

I have a medical condition; can I take a drink in a bottle into the venue?

Drinks for medical conditions are permitted into the venue in plastic bottles up to 500ml. The bottle should be sealed at the time of entry and declared to a steward; the bottle will be labelled to validate it.

Can I come early and queue at the venue?

Early queuing on Campus is discouraged - it won’t guarantee a place at the front of the stage!

Queuing/camping overnight on Campus is not permitted – the safety of the public attending events on our Campus is our highest priority!

We recommend visitors allow plenty of time to get through our security checks and into the venue, arriving for the doors open time as a general guide – don’t miss out on the action!

What time can I get into the venue

As soon as the doors to the venue open you can go in. We recommend visitors allow plenty of time to get through our security checks and into the venue, arriving for the doors open time as a general guide – don’t miss out on the action! The doors open time is usually listed on the event page of our websites and social media channels a few days before the event ovohydro.com and sec.co.uk, or connect with us on  Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

What should I do if I require medical assistance while at the venue?

If you require medical assistance, please inform a member of our stewarding team or any member of venue staff. First-aid and medical staff are available at all events and will be called to assist.

Can I bring an assistance dog to the venue?

Screen Shot 2016-11-28 at 3.27.16 PM.pngThe SEC welcomes visitors with assistance dogs. We would ask that assistance dogs are clearly identifiable around the campus. Facilities are available for assistance dogs on request. Please note: requests must be made at least 7 days in advance of your event.

When attending an event can I leave the venue and re-enter?

At most events you may leave and re-enter the venue during the event, as long as you present your ticket for scanning each time.

Is there a dress code at events?

No, there is no dress code – customers can wear what they wish. However, football colours are generally not permitted (some exceptions may apply, which if applicable, will be detailed on the event page). Fancy dress is permitted (without accessories that could be used as weapons or missiles), but costumes of controversial characters will not be permitted.

Will there be large video screens showing the performer(s) on stage?

Events are brought to the venue by external event organisers and concert promoters. The provision and function of all stage equipment is under the control of the concert organiser; as such the provision of screens is not guaranteed.

Do you provide booster seats for smaller children attending events?

We have a small number of booster seats available to borrow for events in the OVO Hydro and SEC Armadillo. These are allocated on a first come first served basis and may be fully allocated at popular family events. If a booster seat is essential to your visit, we would encourage you to bring your own to avoid disappointment.

Can I bring my dog with me to an event?

Only official assistance dogs are permitted in the venue and should be clearly identifiable as recommended by Assistance Dogs UK.

Booking Tickets

Do I need a ticket for my child?

All children must have a valid ticket for an event, with the exception of ‘babes in arms’ (under 12 months) who may sit on a parent/guardian’s knee, unless otherwise stated by the event promoter.
