Eden Mill started in 2012, with the mission to revive the lost art of distilling and brewing in St. Andrews. Based on the historic original site of the Seggie Distillery, run by the Haig family until 1860, Eden Mill was the first to make spirits in the region in over 150 years.
As Scotland’s first single-site distillery and brewery, we have thrived by having the unique opportunity to marry the best practices from these disciplines. A valuable appreciation of barrel ageing and quality wood is one benefit we enjoy from this special status. We apply this to develop truly innovative beer, gin, and whisky.
We are on a mission to lead the way for sustainability within the drinks industry in Scotland. By constantly adapting, we are working towards a greener business model and a more sustainable future for distilleries in Scotland. In Spring 2022, Eden Mill will open our climate positive distillery in Guardbridge, St. Andrews, where power and heat for our stills will be generated using a combination of our neighbouring biomass plant and solar panels on the roof of the distillery.
